| Описание | The Humvee-mounted AN/TPQ-50 Lightweight Counter Mortar Radar (LCMR) designed by Syracuse Research Corporation, USA. The AN/TPQ-50 performs target detection, verification, tracking, and classification of enemy and friendly mortar, cannon, and rocket locations. The cylinder-like radar structure electronically steers electromagnetic pulses and provides continuous 360-degree detection and location of indirect fire-firing weapons from 500 meters to 10,000 meters. It is small, lightweight, and man-transportable by two soldiers. The system consists of a radar processor with electronics housed inside a cylinder surrounded by 24 antenna columns with a Miltope laptop for man/machine interface. When an incoming weapon charge is detected, the system sends a warning message to the operator indicating a round is being processed. Development of the AN/TPQ-50 was informed by the previous models of the LCMR technology, the AN/TPQ-48 and AN/TPQ-49 LCMRs. At 500 pounds and 3.6 feet in diameter, it can be mounted on multiple versions of the HMMWV or be operated on a tripod; it can be powered up by a 5-kilowatt generator or draw power from a Humvee. The AN/TPQ-50 is engineered to work in tandem with and complement the longer-range, truck-mounted AN/TPQ-53 radar. |
