| Описание | Detail of the astronomical ceiling of the Funeral Chamber.
Sethi I was the 1st important King of the Ramesside period (1294-1279 BC. J.C.). He built many temples including the large hypostyle hall of the temple of Amun in Karnak or the temple of millions of years in West Thebes. The tomb of Séthi I was discovered by the Italian Belzoni in October 1817. Its design is completely new. A division is introduced between the upper and lower parts and especially the entire tomb (100m long) is decorated in painted relief. |
