| Описание | Usually, the height of a movie projection is always the height of the screen. The different formats give different width; but on the film, it is the width of the picture that is the same whatever the format (18 mm). This is performed by using different magnifications, i.e. different focal lengths, and masks to cut the top and bottom of the projected window. Additionally, the 2.35:1 format (Cinemascope) uses an anamorphosis (the width is doubled compared to the height). |
