Описание "Field Marshal v. Hindenburg on his visit to Lviv on 3 August 19. Ludendorff wrote: "I was surprised by the beauty of Lviv and its German appearance." Kriegserinnerungen 1919 p. 181. Max Hoffmann wrote in his diary 04/08/1916: "This morning at 3 o'clock we came home from the trip back to Kovel and Lemberg. It does not look so nice to our honourable allies. We will have solid spit in the finger, but I do not doubt that it will go. Otherwise our receptions went royally with a guard of honour and all sorts prades, banquets, etc.
