| Описание | Probably a gilt cast copper alloy glass centred brooch dating from the Roman period, probably c. AD3rd-4th century. Only the main body survives: the glass centre piece and the pin as well as the spring and foot are missing. However, the main body survives in very good condition. While the reverse is plain, the obverse is decorated with an intricate interlace/weave design made up of three moulded strands plaited or woven around each other. Each strand also carries an incised decoration. Much gilding remains in the grooves of the interlace. |
