| Описание | As one of the first scientifically well-known dinosaurs, Iguanodon has occupied a notable place in the public's perception of dinosaurs. Iguanodon were bulky herbivores that could shift from bipedality to quadrupedality. Adults are estimated to have measured about 9 m long, with some specimens possibly as long as 13 m. These animals had large, tall but narrow skulls, with toothless beaks probably covered with keratin. In the back of the mouth they had teeth that resembled those of iguanas, as the name suggests, but were much larger and more closely packed. |
